Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2023 Buick Enclave and we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install the Curt four-pole trailer wiring harness. Adding a four-pole trailer wiring harness to your enclave is gonna give you your four-pole functions, which is going to be your left turn, your right turn. It will combine those signals to make your stop signal, and then you're gonna have your running light signal. You have to get your signals from your taillights on your vehicle to your taillights on your trailer so that others know when they're driving behind you or next to you on the highway. They know what your intentions are when you're driving down the road. more

Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at I'm gonna show you how to install the Curt 7-Pole Wiring Harness on our 2024 Buick Enclave. I would say that the 7-pole is the way to go if you're gonna have a wiring harness on here. 4-pole kind of limits you to only half the amount of trailers that you could tow. But having the 7-pole on here, the vehicle's already prepped for it, so all you'd have to get in addition to this is a brake controller if you wanted to pull a trailer with brakes. With the 7-pole, you are gonna get your standard 4-pole functions, which is going to be your left and right turn signal, your stop signal, and your running lights. more

Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2024 Buick Enclave and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'll show you how to install the Curt four-pole trailer wiring harness. Now the main reason for installing a four-pole wiring harness on the back of your vehicle is because you're wanting to pull a trailer. Either that or you're wanting to haul an accessory that might have brake lights on it. There's a lot of accessories out there, bike racks and cargo carriers that have accessory lights on the back 'cause your state might require if your tail lights are blocked or even if you have an accessory in the back that you have to have auxiliary tail lights. Those are the two biggest reasons of why you would want to put four-pole wiring on the back so that you can transfer those lighting signals safely to the accessories or to your trailer to let others know what your intentions are. more

Now there's gonna be a couple reasons of why you would want to install four pole wiring on your vehicle. First and foremost, it's going to be to pull a trailer safely you have to have lighting signals transferred from the vehicle to the trailer so that others know what your intentions are when you're driving down the road. Definitely at night people can't see your taillights. If you've got something loaded on a trailer or if you have a small camper you're wanting to pull you have to transfer the lighting signals to the back so that people can see the trailer lights making the same signals that your vehicle's doing. more

Tekonsha Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 Buick Envision- Video
Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer today on our 2016 Buick envision, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Tekonsha T-One vehicle wiring harness. The wiring is going to provide our trailer with the necessary lighting functions, not only to remain safe, but legal as well. And since it is a four-way flat connector, a lot of different types of light-up accessories use that same style. So this is going to be able to power those as well. Now I do want to mention this bracket here that I use to mount up our four-way connector is not included, but there's a ton of different types of brackets available here at etrailer that you can use to give you a very similar install look. Or if you don't want to use a bracket, which you can always do is use the dust cap, just simply take your wiring and loop it around the safety chain hooks here, and that'll keep it secure and be just fine.But that being said, the dust cap is nice and thick, which is important since this connector does live outside, that's really going to help protect it from the elements and keep that corrosion down ,I do suggest going a step further and from time to time just apply some dielectric grease on those. more

It's going to provide us the four-pole flat trailer connector and give us our brake lights, our turn signals, and our taillights.Everybody knows you need lights to legally take a trailer down the road so you don't get pulled over, you don't have a ticket. But there's a really big safety aspect to it as well. We don't want anybody running into the back of us because we don't have lights on our trailer. Or if we're changing lanes, we want to make sure that everybody knows exactly what's going on so we can all be safe.Now since our wiring is for the factory tow package on our Buick, it's going to make the installation that much easier. Today in our 2016 Buick Lacrosse, we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. Part number is 118497. Now, this wiring harness for your Lacrosse is going to give you your turn signals, it's going to give you your brake signals, it's going to give you running lights, it's going to be very effective for small utility trailers or for cargo carriers that you might want to hook up. The thing I like about this Tekonsha system is that you're getting a standard module box which is powered on its own, so you're not drawing any power through the vehicle's system. And it also gives you isolation, so it's going to isolate whatever you're plugging in from your vehicles wiring system.Essentially that means if you have shorts in the trailer, which tends to be pretty common, that's not going to be transferred into your vehicle, so we're not going to have to worry about that. Now the reason you're gonna want a seven way wiring harness like this one is that this will give you the basic lighting functions that are required by law in order for you to safely tow a trailer legally. You'll have your turn signals, your tail lights, your running lights, your brake lights, all of that. Additionally you'll get a constant 12 volt outlet power source to charge any trailer batteries or to run any 12 volt accessories on the trailer. You will also have the ability to have reverse lights in your trailer, or if you're towing a boat trailer and you have an electric solenoid that cuts off the brakes for your surge brakes, you'll be able to run that properly. more

That way, when we load any cargo in and out of our trunk, it won't get damaged. When we want to tow our trailer, we'll pull up on our spare tire cover here, pull our wiring harness out, drape it to the side here of our trunk latch so it doesn't get pinched.As you can see, we have an adequate length wire, which ends up right by our trailer hitch receiver. This gives us plenty of length to hook up to our trailer. more

Part number is C56363.Now, when it's time to use your wiring, you're gonna pull up the tray, here, in the floor. You'll have it located right down here in the storage compartment. You'll pull out whatever length you'll need to make the connection to your trailer. That's gonna rest right over top of that weather stripping when we close the door. That's gonna give us the protection and keep it from pinching it. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2015 Buick Encore- Video
Today on our 2015 Buick Encore we're going to be taking a look at and installing the T1 vehicle wiring harness with four pull flat trailer connector. Part number 118588. Right now our four way trailer plug is stored away from the elements. When we're ready to use it we'll lift up our cover. We can set our wire out through whatever length you're going to need, then we'll lay it across the sill plate, across this rubber weather seal. Just make sure you stay away from the latch area and you can simply close your hatch, remove your cover, plug in your trailer, and you're ready to go. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2010 Buick Enclave- Video
Today on our 2010 Buick Enclave we'll be taking a look at and installing a Curt T connector vehicle wiring harness with 4-pole, flat trailer connector, part number C56027. Now we're going to go ahead and test out our wiring. Go ahead and remove the cover, we'll hook up our ground, and then we're going to test out our running lights first which will be that brown wire. Running lights off. Now left turn signal, yellow wire, off, and passenger side, the green wire. Brakes, we'll get that constant signal on both our green, and our yellow. All right, our wires look good. First thing we'll do, go ahead and lift up that rear hatch to gain access to our taillight assemblies. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2014 Buick Enclave- Video
Today, on our 2014 Buick Enclave, we're going to take a look at, and show you how to install, the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for factory tow packages. Now the first step in our install, what we're going to do is come up just to the outside of the passenger side tail pipe here. If we reach directly in between the outside body and the steel body, right up here, we're going to find our connector. Now, because it's hard to see underneath we'll show you out here. It's going to be located about right here in this area, so you just have to reach up in there. I'm going to take my trim panel removal tool and try to take out that Christmas tree fastener. You could use a trim panel tool. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2007 Buick Rendezvous - Curt C55383- Video
All right, today on this 2007 Buick Rendezvous we're going to show you the Curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness, part number C55383. With this part number, this is what you get, obviously your wire harness and two T-connectors. Yellow wire T-connector goes to driver side. Green wire T-connector goes over to the passenger side. You've got a nice long length of wire that will reach from one side to the other and this is our four pull flat. When a four pull is not being used it comes with a cover for it as well, plus, some zip ties and screw for the ground. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2000 Buick Regal- Video
Today on our 2000 Buick Regal, we'll be installing the Curt Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4 Flat Trailer Connector part number C58044. We can show you how you can close your deck lid on the wires as long as you make sure to stay away from the deck lid latch. The molding around the deck lid is soft enough that it will not hurt the wiring when the deck lid was closed. When you're done using it, you can simply open the trunk, fold up your wiring harness, stored in the spare tire well where it's out of the way. To begin our installation, we're going to go ahead and open the trunk. We're here on the driver side, we'll need to remove the 2 cargo net hooks. Once we'd removed those we can go ahead and begin peeling back the carpeting, exposing the taillight wiring harness. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2011 Buick LaCrosse 56098- Video
Today on our 2011 Buick LaCrosse, we're going to be installing the Curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness with the 4-pole flat trailer connector, art number 56098. With our trunk open, we're going to go ahead and remove a coverings in here, the part that covers up the spare tire. Next, we're going to need to remove this rear threshold or scuff panel piece. Now to remove the scuff panel, you need to use a large flat head screwdriver or a trim panel removal tool, it look something like this. Go ahead and set that aside for now. Next, we're going to need to come here to the inner trunk lining and there's some push fasteners that secure this lining in place. We have one here and one here. Go ahead and release those. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2008 Buick Enclave- Video
Today on this 2008 Buick Enclave, we're going to install part number 118450 from TowReady, the T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness. To start off our install, we're going to need to open up the back hatch so we can remove the taillights. Once we get access to the taillights, we need to remove 2 screws.They're hidden behind 2 covers. We'll go ahead and pop the covers loose, and then remove the screws. In this case we're using the 7mm socket. Once the screws are removed, we'll go ahead and pull back the taillight. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 Buick Enclave- Video
Today on our 2012 Buick Enclave, we'll be installing the Tow Ready T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole flat connector, part number 118450. Now to begin our install we'll need to open up the rear hatch. Then we'll move over to the taillight assembly where we'll need to remove the two fasteners that secure the taillight assembly. To remove the fasteners, we'll remove the protective caps first and then the fasteners underneath. Once we remove the fasteners, we'll go ahead and pop the taillight assembly out being careful not to break the alignment pin underneath. Then we'll go ahead and remove the manufacturer's connector from the back of the taillight. We'll press on the locking tab and separate the two connectors. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2005 Buick Rendezvous- Video
Today on our 2005 Buick Rendezvous we're going to be installing the Tow Ready T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with a 4-pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number 118383. We'll begin here at the rear of the vehicle. We'll need to open up the rear hatch. Next we're going to need to remove a few interior panels to gain access to the taillight wiring. We'll begin over here on the passenger side. We'll need to remove this little cover here by simply lifting up on the tabs, gently pulling out and then set that one aside. We'll go ahead and repeat that same process over here on the driver side. Next we're going to need to remove this rear threshold piece. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2013 Buick Enclave- Video
Today on our 2013 Buick Conclave, we'll be installing the Tow Ready, T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness, part number 118579. To begin our installation on the vehicle wiring harness, we'll need to raise the rear hatch of the vehicle. We'll need to remove each of the taillight assemblies. To do this, we'll need to remove two covers that cover up small bolts on each side. You'll see that there's a bolt under each cover. We'll need to remove each of these bolts. Once these two have been removed, we can gently slide the whole light assembly out towards the rear of the vehicle. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2013 Buick Enclave 119147KIT- Video
Today on this 2013 Buick Enclave, we're going to install part number 119147KIT from Tow Ready. First thing we need to do is go ahead and open up the back hatch and get access to the tail lights. Then, we need to remove two plastic covers for the screws. You can pry them just a little bit and they simply pop off. Once we have access to the screws, we'll go ahead and unbolt the tail light. With the screws removed we'll go ahead and gently pull the tail light out backwards and away from the body work. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 Buick LaCrosse- Video
Today on our 2012 Buick Lacrosse, we'll be installing the Tow Ready T1 Connector, part number 118497. First, we'll open up the rear cargo door on our trunk and then we'll need to access the wiring behind the tail lights. To access the tail lights, we'll first remove the spare tire cover and rear threshold. To remove the rear threshold, we'll gently pry out on the bottom and then pull up, popping all the fasteners free from the sheet metal. Next, we'll go ahead and remove the pushpin fasteners securing the carpet behind the tail lights. Now, we can pull the carpet away. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2004 Buick Rendezvous- Video
Alright, today on this 2004 Buick Rendezvous we're going to install part number 41405 from Hopkins. This is a wiring harness that plugs in to the factory towing port. First, we'll go ahead and locate the port. It's underneath the vehicle, on the driver side, above the suspension in the corner by the bumper. We'll go ahead and use a trim panel tool to remove it from the sheet metal underneath then we'll go ahead and remove the cap. There's a small tab we need to pull up then it comes right apart.Now we'll take our new wiring harness, we'll add some dielectric grease that comes with it to the terminal then we'll go ahead and snap it into place. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2003 Buick Rendezvous- Video
Today on this 2003 Buick Rendezvous were going to install part number 118383 from Tow Ready. The first thing we need to do is go ahead and open up the hatch and remove the two taillights and disconnect the electrical from them. With the lights removed well go ahead and loosen up the wire harness that goes into the body. Pull the grommet out and move it to the side for now. Next well go on the interior of the vehicle and well remove the floor coverings, the threshold and loosen up the panels on the side. Now we can go ahead and start installing the wire harness. more
